We are having email message bodies being sent out to the wrong headers multiple times, some failing to send, and other bizarre stuff.

If you google search for "php mail thread safe" you can find a ton of relevant information.

This is not a bug in php, there have been multiple bugs closed with this issue being dismissed as not an issue with PHP.
